We have worked on many features in the new version, spent@work 2.0. We've made a guided tour for you, we're now displaying currencies as you're used to, and the main new feature is a public portal to make communication more accessible in a nutshell. We've wrapped it all up in a brand fresh coat.

PUBLIC PORTAL

Freelancers need to communicate with their customers. That's what we at spent@work have in mind, and that's why we decided to make a public portal to make this easier for you. You can choose what you want to share with your client (see picture). Then you send the link to the client. Communication through the public portal via messages is a matter of course, and we've also implemented email alerts for you and the client.

This is what communication looks like directly in spent@work, located right next to the project.

We have tailored this spent@work environment to your clients, so you can avoid all the unnecessary questions and focus on your work.

GUIDED TOUR

We've added a guided tour so that it doesn't happen that someone doesn't know how to use spent@work. Of course, you have the option to skip it entirely.

THE NEW LOOK

We've taken a look seriously at the new version of spent@work 2.0. We have entirely new colors, the spent@work environment is now round, we have a new font, and we have changed the logo. We have improved the layout for mobile phones. And the whole spent@work is sleeker, more precise, and a step further.

Time tracking apps are a great way to improve your time management. Their primary function tends to be tracking time and earnings. It is most often used by freelancers, companies, or anyone who likes to keep their work in order. However, they have many more benefits, which we will discuss in the following paragraphs.

Reason 1 - Keep track of your projects & earnings

The times are moving forward, and so are the tools we use for our work. One of the essential tools for the job is undoubtedly time trackers. In our time tracker "spent@work", you can track how much time you spent on a project and how much money you made.

Reason 2 - Time management and efficiency

In the previous section, we mentioned the main function of each time tracker. However, the benefit of this is the beneficial effect it will have on your time management and efficiency. You'll never have to think about what you're supposed to be working on, how many hours you've worked on it, and how much money you've made. And these are the great benefits that time trackers offer.

Reason 3 - Work with teammates, friends, colleagues, and employees easy

Attach the files you need for each project, write notes, and communicate with your customers using a public portal. In short, keep all your information in one place; that's what "spent@work" is for.

Reason 5 - Simplify your communication with your customers

As I mentioned, "spent@work" is the only time tracker application with a public portal. This feature will allow you to communicate with your customers quickly. Your customers will appreciate this, and you will rise in their eyes, which is what you need. With the public portal, you can easily send and receive files, post comments, get feedback, and, most importantly, share information about the project of your choice. For example, you can share time spent on a project, price, project description, and particular time logs. The option is yours.

Time-tracker spent@work is not just about the work of an individual. It makes it very easy to collaborate with colleagues, employees, or friends on one or more projects.

Step 1 - create a project

Create a new project by clicking on the "New project" button in the top left corner.

Then fill in the data in the form according to your needs and click "Create."

Step 2 - create and assign a client to a project (optional)

You can create and assign a client to a project for better clarity, but this is not a necessary step. So if you don't want to assign a client, skip to "Step 3". But if you do, I'll show you how to do it.

Start by going to the client section and then click on the "New client" button.

Then fill in this form according to your personal needs.

Then go to the projects section, select the project you want to assign the client to, and click on the edit project button (pencil).

Then select and assign the client.

Step 3 - how to assign colleagues, friends, or employees to the project

Now I'll show you how to add more users to the project. Start by clicking the "Members" button. Remember that the people you want to add must have an account on spent@work!

Then click on "Add user."

Then fill in the table. Enter the email, the user's hourly rate, how much you charge, role, and click on the check.

Congratulations! You have successfully added another user to the project.

Project-oriented - all projects in plain sight, notes, and files

Our competitors are time-focused, which might sound reasonable, but it's not the best concept for everyone.

Freelancers usually work on multiple projects simultaneously, and they need to have all of them constantly in plain sight. They also need to keep all the information about their project, including files, work assignments, and other stuff, in one place, so they don't have to go through all of the e-mail communication looking for it.

That's why spent@work is project-oriented and enables you to work on multiple projects very efficiently. Since it has a text editor and file upload built-in, it saves you a lot of time you'd spend searching for the information you need.

Public portal - share information with your customers automatically and instantly

As mentioned in the previous point, we focus on freelancers. Customers always want to know what is going on, how much money they spend, what is already done, and what is left to do. For this reason, we created the public portal. You can enable it, set which information you want to share with your customers, and send them the link. They'll see all the information they need in real-time. You can also communicate with them using comments.

Teams - keep track of your employees/colleagues

It's pretty common to work on a project with someone else. spent@work is team-ready. You can add your team members to your projects. You can also specify how much per hour they make and how much you bill your customers for them.
